4:45 - 5:15 pm
in the Community Wellness Tent

A brief introduction to Neuropsychology—where the brain and mind connect, making us who we are as people and explaining why we do the things we do. Followed by an open discussion about topics related to music, mindfulness, cognitive and mental health, and more!

Meet Salmaan A Khawaja, PsyD

Program Director of Neuropsychology and Psychology Service, Bon Secours Mercy Health System

“I have been fascinated with the brain since childhood which led to an exploration of both psychological and neurological functioning. I feel as though neuropsychology is the perfect fit for me! I am humbled by the opportunity to support, understand and treat patients through cognitive and emotional difficulties. I am a lucky husband, proud father and a doctor in our community. I enjoy beekeeping, baking, drumming and learning new things!”

Food for Thought:

Think about the ways that things emit frequencies, and the resident frequencies of our brains and bodies, and how those connect.

You know how anything with atoms in it emits a frequency and a tone? Sometimes when people vibe to music and don’t know why, it’s because it just hits the right frequency and then resonates against our own atoms moving. If you close your eyes and hum—and do it like ten times, you’ll find your note. If you go up or down a third or a seventh you’ve found your chord. If you find your resting heartbeat and find a song that matches all of that, you’ve found your vibe.
