Meet Bryan & Johann of Montwood Coffee
Once upon a time a singer and a stilt-walker fell in love…
while dancing together in a magical land. With each passing year, they wandered to new places - near & far - making friends and chosen family along the way. One day a little ritual emerged. One saying, “Let’s go be cute!” to which the other smiled and replied, “Okay! Which coffee shop today?”
We are a queer, interracial couple - mixing and matching are at the heart of our lives and this little mobile start up. We enjoy life in the messy inbetween and this is manifested through the love of the diverse experiences of coffee, roasters, and the coffee shops we enjoy, near our home in Durham and afar. We wish to embody and share something of our mixed, queer love (or, as we say “cuteness”) through a versatile, mobile café experience most often found at the trail heads, parks, and green edges of our city. So #letsgobecute with us as we cultivate a wandering community and venture through a mix of travel, love of nature, human connection, and coffee.

to reconnect ourselves to nature and the wheel of the year through our seasonal food and drink offerings, a curation of books and plants, and highlighting and attracting folks to the local greenspaces.
