We asked, and you answered. Thank you for giving us feedback. See what festival goers had to say about Soil Sky 2023.
Mental Wellness
Soil & Sky Fest is grounded in three pillars: mental wellness, earth care, and community connection. Today, David and I were reflecting on the mental wellness pillar and noticing the extent to which so much of our planning and hope for the festival comes down to that core value.
We have a winner!
Rewind 20 days. All the way back to March, when each ticket purchased was an entry in our free-meal raffle. We are excited to say congratulations to Hannah Clark who won the March raffle and will be redeeming a free meal at Soil & Sky Fest 2024, thanks to Left Bank Butchery and/or The Cauldron.
An early-bird bribe & other news
A sweet deal on early-bird tickets, a new song out, and moccasin-making this weekend.
We’re on tv!
Ummmm, WHAT!?? Soil & Sky was on The Local Vibe! Click the image below to watch this video of David being interviewed ON TV about Soil & Sky Fest this morning.
Fireclay cellars
Our name, FireClay Cellars represents the bright red clay in our vineyard. Mineral rich, deep, and well drained soil provide the perfect conditions for producing flavorful grapes.
The Brewery
Haw River Farmhouse Ales: The exquisitely crafted beers at the heart of Saxapahaw.
Screenprinting & 3D Printing
One of the best feelings is watching someone love what they do. Catch that feeling next weekend by visiting John for screen printing and Josh for 3D printing. Read on for details, and plan to bring your own shirt or tote to have screen printed!
Did You Say Sobriety?
We are so excited to feature exciting non-alcoholic drink options at Soil & Sky Fest alongside the beer and wine. Read on for David’s note on sobriety and and introduction to Boro Beverage!
te’Jani, Pinkerton Raid & Gareth Leslie
Today we turn the spotlight on the three incredible musicians who will grace the Soil Stage this year. Please read on…
Ways To Nourish Yourself While You’re Here
This is Morgan chiming in to say that the two spotlights in this email are incredibly dear to my heart and having them here doing their thing for the festival is the coming-true of a many-year dream.
I know we say it too much… that it’s all about community. But, really. It is. And that’s what gets created with Patrice of Araminta Wellness and with Judy & Bryan of Willow House Coffee. I can’t wait for you to meet them.
Extras from The Collection
Hey there, Collection here. We want to make sure you know that you can expect extra-extra from us at the festival. Yes, that means MUSIC à la EXTRA! Plus really good hugs, fist bumps, power poses and merch.
*Obviously* we’ll put on a killer show at the Sky Stage after sundown, but there’s more…
A Farm-To-Festival Affair
The Collection is back in town after an exciting trip to Nashville for some EPIC music video shoots with their video producer Anastasia Elliot — yes, the same Anastasia that we’re so excited to welcome to the festival stage in 22 days!
As you can tell, this event is a community affair, and we’re excited to introduce you to some of our very favorite local foods — offered by people who embody and actualize the ideals of farm-to-table eating.
Leather & Longwools
With less than a month to go before the festival, we are feeling the exciting buzz of the final preparations. We’ve been signing contracts, securing vendors, meeting with team leads, plugging volunteers into key roles, getting familiar with the Health Department code, learning to build with bamboo (!!), high-fiving ourselves, and probably dropping a few balls along the way, too.
we are so in love with this community!
You’re really showing up to support Soil & Sky Fest!! THANK YOU!! We’ve been bowled over by the kindness and enthusiasm coming our way from all of you. Receiving your volunteer forms and artist booth applications has made this whole event feel like it’s already in full swing. Thank you.

Soil & Sky Fest is geared around creating community and we need your help to make it happen! We have a variety of volunteer roles open, from parking directors, to trash cleanup. Volunteers work 4 hour shifts and get into the festival for free (though we’re happy for anyone who wants to buy a ticket and still volunteer too)! Check out our volunteer application and let’s make this community happen together!

Introducing Soil & Sky Fest!
Welcome to our very first official announcement of Soil & Sky Fest! Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart, for being among the first people to sign up for announcements about the festival. It's something I've been dreaming up for years, and it's so exciting to finally bring it to fruition along with cherished friends and amazing musicians.
