There is so much good energy in Saxapahaw, and so many ways to connect with community. Here are a few noteworthy events coming up in the neighborhood.

September 19 — Culture Mill Season Launch at the Haw River Ballroom

We invite an expansive community, friends new and old, to join us for this event! Tickets are Pay What You Wish with a suggested sliding scale of $10-$30. Your entry includes access to the Intro to Tango Workshop, documentary screening, free Culture Mill screen printing (bring your own T-shirt!), and light refreshments. Rodrigo’s Burritos for sale and a cash bar will be available on-site.

About Culture Mill

Founded in 2014 by dancers/choreographers Murielle Elizéon and Tommy Noonan, Culture Mill’s mission is to foster a creative and inclusive ecosystem through artist residencies, community-centered initiatives, and groundbreaking immersive artworks from local, national, and international artists. Stationed in Saxapahaw, NC, Culture Mill advances embodied interdisciplinary arts, cultivates community, and expands access to arts experiences. Reaching beyond rural Alamance County, the organization's work is shared across the greater Triangle/Triad region of NC. Culture Mill also engages in national and international collaborations through commissions, residencies, workshops, hosting artists from abroad, and touring Culture Mill works. October 19 — Saxapa’hawg’ Fest at the Saxapahaw Country Club

Mark your calendars for our 2nd Annual Saxapa’hawg Fall Fest! We’re planning a big day filled with live music, yard-games, communal apple butter making, pasture-raised pork, and other vittles, a farm tour, bonfire, and camping. Playing down on our hay-wagon stage, local Saxapahaw-ian Hayden Taylor will perform a soothing solo set of her original songs, followed by one of our founding members Gregg Dodson’s band, Kurtzweil. Ongoing — The Bridge Wellness Center for Movement, Fitness, Healing Arts & Community

​We're located in the heart of Saxapahaw, NC, and our space includes a gym, sauna, movement classes, and healing arts facilities. Our mission is to serve Saxapahaw, NC and the surrounding community by offering quality movement classes, whole-body fitness equipment, and access to mind-body-spirit healing arts. Boogixote — Music, Outdoors, Energy

Follow along with Garrett Bethmann, aka Boogixote (Bu-gi-ho-tay) as he puts together incredible events inspired by good music, adventuring outdoors, and learning how to be resilient and caring with the energy we consume – both our food and our natural resources.
